Do you exercise? Because if so- YOU are an athlete. You don't have to be a professional to be considered an athlete. You don't have to look a certain way. If you're exercising then you need to fuel your body in a way that supports your performance.
We've been taught that dieting (restricting) goes hand in hand with exercise and that it's the key to weight loss or being healthy. That's just not true.
When you're working out while restricting calories you feel like garbage...a pretty clear sign that your body isn't happy with what you're doing to it.
Ditch the mindset that less is better. That smaller is better.
Don't be humble--YOU are an athlete. It's time to learn how to support your body in all the amazing things it does for you
Sometimes on a long run I literally stop and thank my legs for allowing me to spend time out on the trails.
